Autor(en) Information:: Niemand hat so bahnbrechend für den Jazz gewirkt wie Benny Goodman (1909 bis 1986)! Die Radioübertragung seines "Concert at Carnegie Hall" 1938 machte den Jazz quasi über Nacht salonfähig und zum beliebten Genre. Als erster Bandleader ließ er schwarze und weiße Musiker zusammen auftreten, ein veritabler Tabubruch damals! Mit Hits wie Moonglow, Sing, sing, sing, Don't be that way und Stompin' at the Savoy wurde er zum weltweiten Star, und ist auch heute noch einer der größten Akteure des Jazz.
